We've had a few shy couples lately, and that's okay. If you don't want us to share your names and photos on social media, we understand. So, we're sharing some word pictures instead. A few weeks ago Rev. Tammy Russell officiated for one couple who had been together for, as the bride put it, "a million years," and just wanted to make it legal. They came dressed very casually in jeans and did not even bother with rings or any of the other trappings. Likely they expected it to be a semi-non-event, merely a formality so they could obtain legal status for practical reasons. I wonder if they did not expect it to touch their hearts, bringing happy tears. Though the blue heron that sometimes lands in the little creek outside out windows wasn't there for this particular occasion, we share a picture of it, for effect. We extend our best wishes to this officially newlywed couple for many more "forever" years together. 💝

We have more pics to share from our Goth couple, Stephanie & Jonathan who we wed in their home on 02/27/26. These are professional shots done to perfection by their photographer, Lindsay Turner! The flowers, too, were so unique and lovely. The florist was By the Bunch Floral Academy.

These two, Danielle & Gerald, tied the knot on January 10, 2026, for a little elopement that popped in on short notice. Love their color coordination. By all accounts, the groom was quite a character! 😉 Congrats, newlyweds!

Stephanie and Jonathan were the Goth couple for whom we officiated at their Portland-area home this last Friday. The first shot shows them in front of a fun mirror they hung for the occasion! It was a surprisingly warm winter day for their outdoor wedding on their deck next to a humongous cedar tree. They were so much fun, all dressed in black! She even carried a bouquet of black roses. It was like a taste of Halloween in February! Thanks to my husband, Harold, for witnessing, along with the photographer (not pictured). 🖤

Cassidy & Mark were married in a simple elopement-style ceremony via Rev. Tammy Russell this past Friday. Congratz and all our best to the newlyweds! 🩷

Yesterday Rev. Tammy performed a wedding for Jesus and Mary. (We're quite sure the groom's name is pronounced "Hay-seuss"). 😄 Quite a few of their family members were able to attend the celebration in our little chapel. We wish them and their family all the best! 💝
