This Thursday, No Requests and present Gerd Janson.
This will be his Portland debut and we couldn’t be more excited.
Gerd Janson is one of the most highly respected DJs in the world of house and techno. Quite often, “highly respected” goes hand-in-hand with “underrated” but over the past few years, audiences around the world have also found out what insider types already knew: Janson is a DJ that reconfigures the classics you already knew in an unexpected way – and introduce you to new classics, a few months (or years) before you’ll hear them played everywhere else.
We love his genre-free philosophy which has been a theme throughout Janson’s career.
Besides playing multiple Boiler Room and Circoloco sets across the world, he’s also behind the successful Running Back label.
Spencer Miles and Nolid will be warming up the dancelfoor.
Spencer Miles is a dj/producer from Portland, and one of the founders of and . His all-vinyl sets cover a wide range of sounds and eras, held together with the raw aesthetic of early Chicago, New York and Detroit house music.
His journey as a DJ has taken him from tiny basements, to hazelnut orchards, to peak-time sets at Panorama Bar. He’s released records on Bo****lo a Parigi and ###.
DJ Nolid is a Portland based DJ, and member of nonbinary, q***r, trans and POC centered artist collective . Originally from Kaua’i, Nolid’s sound is an eclectic journey that traverses many genres. Their sets can be described as a psychedelic catalyst to losing yourself with moments that are grounding and revitalizing.
