There’s something magical about the moment a flower girl walks down the aisle. 🌸✨

From tiny baskets overflowing with petals to sweet smiles and unforgettable twirls, flower girls add a touch of innocence and joy that makes every wedding ceremony even more memorable.

When planning your wedding in Port St. Joe, we always recommend choosing a flower girl outfit that complements your wedding style while keeping your little one comfortable and confident. Whether she's scattering fresh petals, carrying a floral hoop, or simply stealing everyone's hearts, her role is one your guests will always remember.

💐 Wedding Planner Tip: Schedule a quick practice walk before the ceremony and let your flower girl be herself. Those genuine moments often become the most cherished memories—and the sweetest photos!

Planning your dream wedding along Florida's beautiful Gulf Coast? We'd love to help you create every magical detail, from the grand entrance to the tiniest petals.

✨ Tell us—did you have a flower girl at your wedding, or are you planning to include one?

Lately our inbox has been full of wedding inquiries—which we absolutely love! But it also means we’ve had to tell quite a few couples that their date is already taken, and that’s always the hardest message to send. We never want to miss the chance to help bring a couple’s dream wedding to life.

So how do you know when you should book your wedding coordinator?

Here’s the honest answer from a local planner: the sooner, the better.

Especially for destination weddings (we work with a lot of destination couples!), we recommend booking your coordinator 12 months before your wedding date. Our busiest seasons on the Forgotten Coast are March–May and August–October, and those dates tend to fill quickly—even up to a year and a half in advance.

Booking early means:
✨ Guidance on trusted local vendors
✨ Help navigating destination logistics
✨ A smoother planning process from start to finish
✨ Peace of mind knowing your wedding day is in expert hands

Even if you’re planning from out of town, having a coordinator who knows the area makes all the difference. From setting up details to weather backups, we’ve got you covered so you can actually enjoy your wedding weekend.

If you’re dreaming of a Port St. Joe wedding, don’t wait until the last minute to secure your coordinator—especially for peak season dates!

📩 Reach out early to check availability and start planning the celebration you deserve.

✨ Bride FAQs — Answered by My Honey Events ✨
(the questions I get every month😄)

Planning a wedding on the Forgotten Coast is magical—but I know it comes with a LOT of questions. Let’s break down the most common ones brides ask me👇

💍 “Do I need a permit for a beach wedding in Port St. Joe?”
Not usually but in some instances yes – and if you do, we will let you know and get that worked out for you!

🌴 “What’s the best time of year to get married here?”
The best time is whenever YOU choose – as long as you understand every month comes with pros and cons (not many cons in paradise, but you get it). However, top picks are April–May and September–October: warm weather, fewer crowds, and dreamy sunsets. Summer is beautiful too—just expect heat and plan accordingly.

🌦 “What if it rains?”
Every coastal wedding needs a Plan B. I help you secure backup options and timelines so a little Florida weather never ruins your day.

👣 “Can we have chairs, arches, or décor on the beach?”
Yes—with guidelines. Certain items are allowed, others are restricted, and setup/cleanup timing matters. This is where having a local planner makes a HUGE difference.

🍾 “Do you help with vendors?”
Absolutely. And we have recommendations for trusted local photographers, bartenders, caterers, florists, rentals, and more—people who know beach weddings inside and out.

📋 “Do I really need a wedding planner?”
If you want to relax, stay on schedule, and actually enjoy your wedding day instead of managing logistics? Then yes—especially for destination and beach weddings.

✨ If you’re dreaming of a laid-back, elegant Port St. Joe wedding and want someone who knows the area, the permits, and the little details that matter—we would love to help.
