It’s a new month that means we have a new recipient of this month’s Giving Tee. Thanks to Rachel Baird for the name idea. It plays off Shel Silverstein’s, The Giving Tree, and the teacher in me likes that 😊.

For Mental Health Awareness month in May, with your help, we were able to donate over $300 to IHR. THANK YOU!

Our June Giving Tee donation recipient is Project Fire Buddies.

If you’re not familiar with Project Fire Buddies, it is a program where firefighters bring joy, friendship, and experiences to kids fighting serious illnesses. We are lucky enough to have a chapter here in Pontiac, and it’s our pleasure to help them out in their efforts. You can read more about the program at www.projectfirebuddies.org.

This month is a little bit different as I had difficulty picking out one tee design that I thought would appeal to the masses. So…there are 3 😬. $5 of each tee/sweatshirt sold will go to Project Fire Buddies.

To order a tee, all you need to do is comment the following on this post:

1. Design: Fire, Sunshine, Friend
2. Color of garment
3. Brand of garment
4. Size
5. Delivery in Pontiac or send to our restaurant, Edinger’s Filling Station, for pick up. I can ship. Customer pays shipping. There are no shipping up charges. The cost typically ranges from $5-10.

When your garment is done, you may pay by cash, check to Becky, or Venmo.

Thanks for helping our firefighters bring the sunshine and brighten the days of these special kids!

Today I bring to you…fish 🤷🏼‍♀️. Why? Sardine/fish designs are trending for the second year in a row. Google said something about them being high in omega 3s or something like that, but I’m pretty sure that’s not the reason people are wearing them on their shirts 🤣. They’re cute. They have a coastal flare. They fit the summer vibe. Are you jumping on the trend?

This weekend, Jimm and I took a little trip to St, Charles, MO. We hadn’t been in a long time. It wasn’t exactly what I remembered. I was thinking it was further removed from bustle and bustle, but that wasn’t the case. It was still a nice little getaway. The shops along historic Main St in downtown St. Charles all had their red, white, and blue displays front and center. Of course, that is prompting to post more Americana designs here. They’re too cute to not share them. Enjoy what’s left of this lovely weekend!
