In my 20 years of emceeing auctions and weddings, I've seen many things happen. Wedding cake doesn't show up. Food running late. Grill goes on the fritz as they're preparing dinner. Toilet breaks in a facility with only two running toilets.

My motto when I emcee an event: There isn't a hat I won't wear to help make your event run more smoothly.

Let's face it, things do happen beyond anyone's control. The key is being able to pivot, and solve the problem before anyone knows it's a problem all while keeping the crowd engaged and entertained.

There's something so special about being asked to emcee weddings.

When you think back on your own memories, graduating high school, college, getting married, having kids, these are all in the top 5 of days you're never going to forget.

When I come to each wedding I am going to emcee, I treat it like it's one of my own kids getting married. What can I do to make today that much easier for the bride and groom. To make it special, to help them forever remember this amazingly beautiful and important day in their lives. As I'm driving to each wedding, I pray that God blesses them and their lives together and makes their special day flawless.

It's been a busy start to 2026, with emceeing multiple fundraisers, and this evening, the first wedding of the summer season.

Tonight, was one moment which will go down as one of the most funny moments in quite awhile.

There were chickens wandering the property where the wedding was being held, about 30 or so from what I was told.

As dinner was getting ready to be served, one of these chickens found it's way to the dance floor.

I of course immediately thought about the Chicken Dance song. So, yep, I cued it up, and no joke, the chicken started bobbing it's head to it.

Needless to say, we all had a really good laugh...

It was a great honor to serve as the emcee at the Mission Valley Christian Academy auction this past Saturday night! Thanks to everyone who raised those paddle cards high in support of an amazing school!
