A sample of a more modern, urban, non-traditional engagement photo shoot I just did. A big part of my job is to understand what the client wants and to find a way to provide it. From venue/location to posing, editing... I am satisfied with how I did, especially because the client loves their images. I love jobs that pose a bit of a challenge and force me to think outside my box, push me to be creative and, ultimately, learn. Talking about thinking or being outside my box... I have a big project that will require to build another box altogether, and cannot wait to get started. Here’s to a great and creativity-expanding 2020!

Trying to get better at shooting, editing, videography, art, every day, every picture, one shoot at a time. There’s no meaning in life without facing challenges, growing from them, and improving, continue learning, and passing it on to others whenever possible. I have been meaning to incorporate the before and after shots as well as camera info for those who are interested and have asked me before. Been busy with videography and shoots as well as parenthood, but I finally got to it. Hope it inspires others to do the same. Keep learning! - Bonnie .m.fitness and I had a great time shooting. Hadn’t met her before but I made sure to understand what she wanted before the shoot as far as aesthetic, and it was very easy to work with her knowing exactly what we were going after. Planning helps me focus on my clients during the shoot which allows them to relax and trust me more, which ends up in better images, and a happier client. Haven’t posted much of my content lately on this account as it has been mostly real estate, portraiture as well as videography, but I’m excited to share some images of my session with fitness trainer Bonnie McGinn. We had a lot of fun producing content for her website and social media but couldn’t have done it with our assistant Tiffany! I love to help others see themselves in a new light and to bring a smile on their face and brand! There’ll be more soon!

Shot from the series of pictures for client Rex Manos’ website, where he is assisting and adjusting Amy’s position as she engages in a dumbbell plank row. It’s fun to workout with others but having an expert by your side correcting technique and position can not only be entertaining but also essential to avoiding injuries as well as effective as possible with the workout. This morning, I spent some time shooting content for my client Rex’s website (see previous post) and Stefan was gracious to help and model for us. Stefan is a serious athlete that has been at the top of the game for a while now, sculpting and working his physique for over ten years, always with a natural approach. Whether it is dance, fitness, yoga, or anything that takes dedication and perseverance, I always enjoy witnessing the product of years passion, struggles, and many little victories. On top of that, this Ohio native is a very kind person and a joy to be around. He wanted to have a quick profile picture for his social media and, needless to say, it was my pleasure to grant him a quick snapshot. I think we did ok. If you are interested in athletics and fitness, be sure to follow him for some amazing workouts. It seems as though we will be having a longer shoot soon, so stay tuned!

Flexologist and physical trainer Rex Manos had an unique experience during his shoot with JordiPhoto. His excitement at the end of the session after seeing proofs of material he was going for made me feel accomplished and proud. We had a great time and success, and met three more athletes that I will hopefully be showcasing soon with more of my images.

“You don’t take a photograph, you make it.” - Ansel Adams // I don’t want to know what Mr. Adams would think of my photograph. He’ll probably think I still haven’t finished taking my “first 10,000” ☺️. However, I do try to have a before each I take and, within my limits, I try my best to get to my vision, to make it. Whether it is with lighting, lighting technique, choice of lens, angle, software, etc, I sculpt the photo to get it closest to my vision. Ultimately, that is what separates any artist from the rest: their artistic vision. And that’s why I love , it grows and evolves with you, and as we learn more techniques and more about ourselves our art evolves as well. I can’t wait to continue expanding my knowledge and vision with he next shoot. // I’m proud of this pictures because I was able to satisfy my vision, get to it, and because loved it, most importantly. As an artist, the main is not to create something for people to respond positively to it, but as a photographer that is hired to accomplish a specific task and for a specific purpose, having a satisfied client it is the main goal. When you are able to accomplish precisely that while satisfying your vision, not only the work is complete but your work has fulfilled you with a sense of . That’s why I like to shoot all kinds of subjects and projects, they all resort different purposes. // Photographing something you love or something you believe in I think is also important as a photographer. Mr. Adams loved nature and landscapes; I love athletics, motion, and people engaged in it. Specifically today, I feel proud of photographing strong women, proud, independent, and confident women who pursue goals and embrace their freedom, inspiring us all and making this world such a better place. Mandi definitely has the strength both inside and out to accomplish her goals and helping others accomplish their fitness goals. My client and friend Mandi has hired me to do another photo shoot as our pictures from our last shoot helped her business thrive, attracting and getting her many clients. Needless to say, I am very proud of her and for what we have been able to accomplish together with our photos. Mandi is very easy going, friendly and caring, and very devoted to her fitness training, which I would think it is the perfect combination to be a successful trainer. I can’t wait for her to see the rest of the pictures, all edited. Hope everybody is having a great week and is staying motivated doing whatever it is you are doing or pursuing. Oh! And for those who like watching TED talks, I have a quote to share with you that I’ve taken to heart this week (from Sir Ken Robinson) and with my approach to my photography: “If you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything ”. Trial and error, the mother of all inventions. I’m feeling lately!

I haven’t posted much of my work with ballet dancers but I have been working with photographing many dance and ballet competitions for several years now. Ekaterina is a very impressive young dancer who has been awarded at various disciplines during the last two years of the and was also awarded with a professional photo session with us. I will be sharing some of the pictures we took of such fantastic dancer (as well as others), but I wanted to start with this portrait, which I really liked. Stay tuned!
