Here are my 5 non-negotiable rules that keep my home calm, clutter-free, and easy to maintain, even on the busiest weeks:
1. No “maybe” piles.
If something isn’t a clear yes, I don’t keep it. Not because I’m ruthless… but because the “maybes” are what drain your space the fastest.
2. Simple beats perfect every time.
I don’t color-code, alphabetize spices, or create complicated systems. If it’s hard to maintain, it won’t last, so I keep everything simple and practical.
3. I choose honesty over guilt.
Gifts I don’t use, things I overspent on, items I “should” love… none of them stay just because I feel bad. If it doesn’t support my life now, it goes.
4. My home follows my flow.
Every family moves differently. Every home needs different systems. I build setups that work for our real routines… not Pinterest’s.
5. Ten minutes is enough.
I never wait for a full free day (spoiler: it never comes). I declutter in small, doable blocks so I stay consistent without burning out.
Decluttering doesn’t have to take forever. It doesn’t have to be emotional chaos. And it definitely doesn’t have to be perfect.
It just has to work for you.
If you want a simple system you can follow room-by-room, my new e-book walks you through everything in the easiest way possible.
It’s literally changing the way so many women feel in their homes.
