Motion Events, LLC

Motion Events, LLC We are dedicated to keeping lives in motion by hosting events and activities primarily in Allegheny County for intellectually disabled adults.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Motion Events strives to provide affordable activities and events for intellectually disabled adults to help facilitate an active, healthy lifestyle while meeting others in the community. The company officially held its first event in the spring of 2013. Each month is filled with exciting, season and holiday-oriented events for any intellectually disabled adults, who are 18 year

s of age or older, as well as their parents, siblings, and staff members. Event locations are always chosen with wheelchair access in mind and have included amusement parks, hair salons, and dining halls among other locations. Activities are typically based in the following areas: Elizabeth, Jefferson, McKeesport, Monroeville, Penn Hills, Pleasant Hills, and Turtle Creek. ABOUT THE OWNER:
Sue Kenders has always had a passion for helping and serving others. She has worked in a variety of positions in the Human Services field for over 28 years primarily in Allegheny County. During that time, she noticed that events programs covered other areas in Western Pennsylvania but few offered services in the areas surrounding the clients she was aiding. Sue's previous experience in the Human Services field include holding positions as a case manager, habilitative aide, therapeutic aide, residential aide, and facility manager among her other work at mental health activities and day programs. In addition to working in this field, Sue was also a Girl Scout leader for six years, den mother for two years, bible school teacher for 21 years, president of a cheerleading parent group, and an active member and officer of the Parent Teacher Association.
