"Our students had a blast AND learned topics that will make them successful inside and out of the classroom."

That's not me saying it - that's the principal of a Montgomery County, PA middle school who brought me in two weeks ago.
Here's what happened (and why it matters)

What the principal was looking for:
1. Something different from typical assemblies
2. Educational value, not just entertainment
3. Recognition for students' hard work
4. An experience that extends beyond the performance

What made this work:
I'm a certified teacher who happens to perform mentalism and magic. So when I design school programs, I think like an educator first, performer second.

That means:
✓ Integrating staff and students into demonstrations
✓ Connecting performance to real learning outcomes
✓ Providing follow-up materials teachers can use
✓ Creating moments students remember long-term

This is what I mean by "premium educational entertainment." Not just a show - a partnership with your school's educational mission.

For Pennsylvania educators planning 2025-2026 programming: I'd love to discuss how this approach might support what you're already building with your students.

When Fox 43 calls you in for a live interview, you know you're doing something right.

I had the opportunity to sit down with the Fox 43 team to talk about my 12-year career in magic and mentalism, from performing for Philadelphia Mayor Nutter and the Phillies, to walking into a Bar Mitzvah and finding myself performing for Jim Parsons (yes, Sheldon from Big Bang Theory!).

But here's what I love most about this interview: Chris had NO idea what was about to happen to his signed card.

The look on his face when he found it? Priceless.
This is exactly what I bring to school assemblies: that moment of wonder, surprise, and pure entertainment that students AND staff talk about for weeks.
Want to see what happened? Check out the full interview below.

P.S. - Chris still has that card as a souvenir. Some experiences stick with you forever; that's the kind of assembly your school deserves.

Sunday Reflection: When entertainment becomes transformation

I used to think my job was to amaze students.
Then I realized something that changed everything.

The real magic isn't in the trick. It's in the moment a student connects what they just experienced to confidence, kindness, decision-making, or staying true to themselves.

That's when entertainment becomes education. That's when the energy shifts from applause to awareness.
Watch this Sunday reflection

My vision is simple:
1. Students leave my assemblies thinking, "I didn't realize how fun paying attention could be while I was learning."
2. Not "That was cool." But "I can actually do this. I'm motivated to succeed."
3. To the educators, administrators, and parents here:
4. You create these moments every day in different ways. You've already figured out that students learn best when they feel the lesson, not just hear it.
I'm just applying that same principle through performance.
If this vision resonates with you - if you believe students deserve experiences that engage their minds AND their hearts - I'd love to connect.

I'll be sharing more about:
a. The psychology behind what actually makes learning stick
b. Real stories from schools across the country
c. This ongoing mission to make educational entertainment truly matter

Thanks for being part of this community. More coming this week.
What's one moment where you saw a student "feel" a lesson instead of just hearing it? Those stories inspire me.

"Why does a school assembly cost $3,000?"

Fair question. I get it all the time from administrators managing tight budgets.
Here's my honest answer - and it's probably different than you'd expect.

The truth is, you're not paying for 45 minutes of entertainment.
You're investing in:
✓ A performance customized to YOUR school culture and values
✓ Content that reinforces what teachers are already working on
✓ An experience students discuss for weeks (and remember for years)
✓ Educational psychology principles woven into every moment
✓ Partnership with someone who understands school systems (I'm a certified teacher)

Here's what I hear from principals weeks later:
a. "Students are STILL talking about it."
b. "Teachers said it was the best assembly we've ever had."
c. "How did you know exactly what our school needed?"

Because I don't just show up and perform. I collaborate with your team beforehand to understand your culture, your challenges, and your goals.

The real question isn't "Why $3,000?"
It's "What's the value of a shared experience that your entire school community remembers?"

For administrators planning 2025-2026 programming: I'd love to discuss how a performance can support your specific school objectives. DM me for consultation details.

300 students. Complete silence. Not one cell phone out.
Two weeks of anticipation. One impossible moment. The kind of experience students talk about for months.
Here's what happened

The setup: Two weeks before my assembly, I asked 10 students to write down personal questions or thoughts. Sealed envelopes. Never touched again.

The moment: In front of 300 students, I revealed those private thoughts - the questions only they knew they'd written. Then I asked one volunteer to think of a random word from a book. Letter by letter, I described what she was thinking.

When I showed my notepad, the word matched exactly.
The result: 300 teenagers, completely silent, phones forgotten, fully present.
But here's what matters most:

This isn't just about the trick. It's about creating a shared experience so powerful that students are still talking about it months later.

That's the kind of moment teachers work to create every day - just in different ways. The lesson that clicks. The discussion that sparks real thinking. The activity where everyone's genuinely engaged.

You're creating memorable moments in 50-minute periods. I get one shot in 60 minutes. Different contexts, same goal: genuine student engagement that lasts.

Drop a comment if you've created a lesson moment students still reference months later.

"$3,000 for 45 minutes?!"
I hear this question from school administrators. And honestly? It's the wrong question.
Because you're not paying for 45 minutes.
Let me show you what you're actually investing in

Here's what most people don't see:

Before the assembly:
1. 3 weeks customizing content for YOUR students
2. Consulting with your staff about school culture and goals
3. Integrating your curriculum themes and character education focus

During the assembly:

1. 300+ students sharing an experience together
2. Creating moments teachers reference in classes for months
3. Building school culture and community connection

After the assembly:

1. Students talking about it at home (parents notice)
2. Teachers energized and inspired alongside their students
3. Shared vocabulary your staff uses in lessons for weeks

One principal told me: "My staff was just as excited as the students. That matters. They were talking about it for weeks."
That's the real investment: hundreds of hours of impact, not 45 minutes of entertainment.

What makes a school assembly worth the investment beyond the performance itself?
