A night in Idaho, off the grid, with homemade dandelion wine and a promise of forever.

These two, with her father as the officiant, gathered in their hometown to officially tie the knot. We ended the evening at a place that meant so much to them, watching the sun disappear behind the rolling mountains while Idaho absolutely showed off.

The amount of thought, intention, and care they poured into every part of their day is something Iā€™ll never forget. It wasnā€™t about putting on a production. It was about creating a day that felt completely and unapologetically like them.

In moments like these, where only the people who matter most are standing beside them, Iā€™m reminded just how much of a privilege this job is. Iā€™m so incredibly honored to be the one they trust to document these moments and preserve them for years to come. šŸ¤

Some tables are made to be sat at. Others are made to be stared at for just a little longer.

I donā€™t think Iā€™ll ever get over the amount of intention that goes into wedding design. Every stem, every place setting, every little detail chosen because it meant something to them. It deserves to be remembered just as much as the big moments.

This one felt like a painting.

I hate to tire your fingers scrolling on this one, but unfortunately this is the best I could do when it came to narrowing it downā€¦ and these are only the sneak peeks šŸ„¹

I guess looking through these, you can get a little glimpse into TJ & Jalyn Mickelsonā€™s big day. Iā€™ll never get over how kind and fun these two are. Hell, it makes me want to sip a High Noon, ride a bull, and think about it.

The beauty in these two, and in this family, goes far beyond the surface. I first met them at their engagement sessionā€¦ you know, the one we did at the art museum. We laughed nearly the entire time. By the time the wedding rolled around, I was almost panicking thinking, ā€œWaitā€¦ should I RSVP? I kind of feel like a guest at this point.ā€ šŸ˜‚

Anywho, fast forward to spending the night at Utah Wedding Venue | Sleepy Ridge. (Can I get an award for the first ever mechanical bull weddingā€¦ or at least for somehow attracting the most on-brand clients? šŸ˜‚)

Then I sent over these sneak peeks, and they texted me saying they felt like I was part of their family. I donā€™t knowā€¦ that one got me. šŸ„¹ Itā€™s such a special feeling when this job turns into so much more than showing up with a camera. I get to meet people who start as clients and somehow end up feeling like friends. Thatā€™s the part Iā€™ll never stop being grateful for. šŸ¤

Somehow photography has become one of the best ways to make friends as an adult. Yev Hovhannisyan & her man of honor bstnlxs are some of the greatest, most loving people this job has ever introduced me to. So incredibly thankful šŸ˜­
