Emmett Till’s 1955 murder exposed the brutality of racism to the nation. Through the courage of his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, who refused to let the truth be hidden, his story helped awaken public consciousness and strengthen the growing Civil Rights Movement.
His legacy continues to challenge every generation to confront injustice, protect the truth, and demand accountability.
