I’m honestly a little emotional typing this one. 🥹🤍

May 2027 is officially FULLY BOOKED.

Which means March, April, and May are now completely booked for weddings and events.

God has blessed this little business beyond anything I could have imagined, and I will never stop being grateful for the couples who trust us with one of the most important days of their lives.

When you hire us, you’re trusting us with so much more than a timeline or a checklist. You’re trusting us to care about your wedding day, protect it, love on your people, and pour into all of the little details that mean so much to you. We never take that responsibility lightly.

Coastal, classic, and a whole lot of fun. 🤍🌿🌊

Sarah + Joe’s destination wedding was everything we love about a Gulf Coast celebration. Soft greens, woven coastal textures, delicate florals, little nods to the water, and an ocean view that really didn’t need any help being beautiful.

But beyond all the pretty details, this day was about bringing their favorite people together for a wedding that actually felt like them.

A church ceremony, a trolley full of their people, dinner overlooking the Gulf, sunset portraits in the sand, and a reception that clearly understood the assignment.

The kind of wedding weekend that reminds us why destination weddings along the Gulf Coast are just so special.

We LOVE a sentimental wedding detail. Grandma’s china, Mom’s wedding-day handkerchief, a family Bible, vintage photographs, heirloom cake knives — those are often the details that make a wedding feel the most personal.

But please, please tell your planner about them before the wedding day.

Showing up during setup with a box of family heirlooms and asking your coordinator to “work them in somewhere” creates a few problems:

First, they weren’t included in the original design or setup plan. We’ve already determined what goes where, how each space is being styled and what needs to be completed before guests arrive. Wedding-day setup isn’t really the time to redesign a space on the fly.

Second, styling unexpected décor isn’t automatically part of coordination. If you want sentimental pieces incorporated, we’re happy to plan for them! We just need to know they exist.

And probably the biggest one: these pieces are irreplaceable. Once an heirloom is handed to your wedding team, there’s now an expectation that it stays safe, doesn’t get broken, doesn’t walk away with a guest and makes it back to the correct family member at the end of the night.

That’s a lot of responsibility for an item we didn’t know was coming.

So MOBs, MOGs, grandmas, aunties and anyone else holding onto something special:

Tell us ahead of time.

Send us a picture. Tell us the story behind it. Let us decide together where it makes sense in the design and who will be responsible for taking it home.

Because we absolutely want Grandma’s china at the wedding.

We just don’t want to meet Grandma’s china for the first time during setup. 🤍

Something new is here at Sweet Serenity… and it started with a problem we kept seeing over and over again.

Working alongside our clients, we’ve seen just how much goes into creating all of those little details that make an event feel complete.

You find the pieces. Order them from five different places. Store the boxes for months. Transport everything to the venue. Pack it all back up afterward… and then figure out what in the world you’re going to do with it all.

But we’ve also seen the other side of it.

Sometimes you have almost everything.

You just need the votives to add a little candlelight.
A pop of color on the table.
A few bud vases to fill an empty space.
The perfect charger.
An easel for your welcome sign.

Things in my wedding day emergency kit that seem a little extra… until you actually need them.

After enough wedding days, you learn that it’s usually the smallest things that can cause the biggest headaches.

A candle that won’t cooperate.
A tablecloth trying to take flight in the Gulf Coast wind.
A hem that suddenly rips.
A cake cutting set that somehow never made it to the venue.
Or a 95° wedding day when everyone is MELTING.

What their guests thought was a reception to celebrate their marriage… turned into a surprise wedding ceremony. 🤍

And honestly, that set the tone for Sam & Jerrod’s entire day: intimate, personal, unexpected, and incredibly intentional.

Throughout our full planning process, the goal was never to do more, it was to make every detail mean something.

Hints of navy were woven throughout the florals because Jerrod is a blue guy. Sam’s mom hand-painted the nautical postcards we incorporated into the design. Sam changed her bridal sash throughout the evening to match the mood. And she surprised Jerrod with a vintage photo booth because one of their very first photos together was taken in one on their first date.

Nothing was there “just because.” Every detail told a piece of their story.

And we can’t talk about this wedding without mentioning that Sam was dealing with some serious back issues and still showed up looking THIS stunning, rocked her heels, and celebrated all night. Thankfully, that’s one we can all laugh about now!

A beautiful reminder that a wedding doesn’t have to be over-the-top to be unforgettable. It just has to feel like you.

As a wedding planner + coordinator, one of the questions I get asked constantly is:

“Where do you find your outfits?”
“Where are your styling pieces from?”
“Where do you shop for wedding details, décor, and event essentials?” 🤍

So… I figured it was finally time to start sharing. ✨

Welcome to a new series where I’ll be linking some of my favorite finds, planner must-haves, wedding styling pieces, tablescape inspiration, event essentials, and the little details that help bring everything together beautifully.

From dresses and shoes that can survive a 14-hour wedding day, to the f***y packs that secretly hold my entire life onsite. 😂 I’ll be sharing all of my go-to favorites as a wedding planner/coordinator.

And if you’re a vendor slowly moving out of the traditional “all black attire” phase… don’t panic. You’re not just hiring someone to “show up on your wedding day.”

You’re hiring the person who:
– Communicates with every vendor so you don’t have to
– Builds and manages a timeline that actually works in real life
– Helps create the overall flow, floor plan, and design so your day feels cohesive, intentional, and seamless
– Catches problems before they ever reach you
– Keeps your day flowing when things don’t go exactly as planned

Because here’s the truth…
Something will go off schedule.
Something will need adjusting.
Something unexpected will happen.

And while your Aunt Mary or your best friend Jane loves you dearly…
they’re not equipped to handle large-scale logistics, vendor coordination, or real-time problem solving when things go wrong.
