Zeela is a 2 year old German shepherd. She has been in service for approximately 10 months. She is a dual-purpose drug and apprehension dog. She is trained in:

🚓 Tracking
🚓 Building searches
🚓 Article searches
🚓 Drug detection

Fun facts about Zeela:

🐾 She loves to work
🐾 Before and end of shift, she runs around the station to find people to play ball with her.
🐾 She loves water drinking and playing in it

Raider is an eight year old Belgian Malinois. He is a dual purpose canine, trained by the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2019 in patrol duties and detection work. He lives with his handler full-time. Raider isn't all business, though:

🐾 he loves to play with chickens
🐾 his favorite thing is belly scratches
🐾 cardboard boxes are his arch- enemy

Reiko is a 6 year old Belgian Malinois. He and his handler have been working together for 1 year. Reiko is trained in narcotics detection, searching for people and articles, and apprehension. Reiko isn't all about business, though. In fact, Reiko:

🐾Loves strawberries.
🐾 is a certified couch potato when off duty
🐾 has a French passport
🐾 can chase a ball (or suspect) at approximately Mach 8

We are excited to welcome back the Pataskala Police Department for Dog Days of Summer 2026!

June 6th from 11am to 3pm will feature live K9 demonstrations in our lower field, and tactical demonstrations inside.

In addition, we will have a variety of raffle baskets to pique your interest, over 30 vendors on site for your shopping pleasure, caricatures, balloon twisting, face painting, bounce houses, bubbles, and several delicious food trucks on site.

All proceeds benefit the purchase and training of a new K9 for the Pataskala Police Department.
