The City of Paragould Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an Athletics Coordinator to help plan, organize, and manage adult sports leagues and athletic programs at the Paragould Community Center.

General Description of Position:
This position will analyze, organize, and coordinate athletic leagues for the public, while helping develop and administer strategies to increase the utilization of the City of Paragould Community Center.

The Athletics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating league schedules, communicating with teams, collecting league fees, maintaining records, preparing facilities, supervising officials and part-time staff, and assisting with daily operations at Parks and Recreation facilities.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication and organizational skills, knowledge of recreational sports, the ability to work well with the public, and a commitment to creating a safe, welcoming environment for our community.

Qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, knowledge of recreational sports, planning and administration skills, strong communication and time management skills, and must be at least 18 years of age.

General work hours will be:
Monday thru Thursday, 12:30 PM until 9:00 PM
Sunday, 9:30 AM until 6:00 PM

Evening and weekend hours may be required depending on league schedules and events.
