August is here and it’s just lovely! 🥰☀️🌸

The sunshine is out, the flowers are blooming, we are enjoying being outdoors and my heart is happy. 💗

Throughout August and September, we have new flowers blooming everyday and it’s such a treat to enjoy the ‘blooms’ of our labor.

It’s Party Time! 💗💛🧡
I was so excited to bring these gorgeous tropical flowers to the fabulous Inverness Golf Club outdoor space for my sweet customer’s event! Her guests picked out speciality flowers from our bloom bar and made “flower purses” to take home! It was so fun to see familiar faces and meet some new ladies! 🥰

I have some new sunflowers blooming in the garden and paired with some fresh cut eucalyptus, they would be just a perfect bunch to enjoy summertime! The sunflowers that I grow for cut flowers are pollenless so you don’t have to worry about pollen falling on your table. We do grow a few sunflowers with pollen though, just to keep our bees happy! 🐝

PS We grew some fancy sunflowers too that are now taller than me! I’ll be sure to show everyone what they look like when they bloom! 🤩

“Playing” with flowers…

As a lady who loves flowers and enjoys arranging, every once in a while I like trying new things. So this weekend I found myself utilizing older blooms and putting them together to see what would happen. Sometimes I think it turns out great, and sometimes I think it could be better, but the key is that I allow myself to try and learn!!!

Here’s what I learned while making this:

1. The colors are an interesting combo for me. I think I would include more bright yellow and blue next time.
2. The vase is very narrow and gladiolus have thick stems - so they’d be nixed for the next version.
3. The flowers Need 👏🏻 More 👏🏻 Height 👏🏻 and maybe some “falling” flowers or greens would make it connect with the vase more.
4. I would love to continue trying to be as sustainable as possible and not have to use flower foam.
5. I made version 1… that fell apart. I was sad about that BUT it helped me make this version 2 that stays together!
6. I love quicksand roses! They smell great and blend oh so well!
