Funny that this all started with an email from about joining a steering committee for something called WIPA. Over a thousand days later, we’ve built a chapter that’s brought fresh, positive attention to a city that’s often overlooked, and I’m grateful to have been part of that work.
It’s been a privilege to lead our community service efforts, not only for our wedding community but for the broader community we serve. Some of my favorite memories come from bringing vendors together outside formal events, sharing real moments, and giving back side by side. This work keeps me grounded, reminding me how lucky we are to be part of such meaningful days in our couples’ lives while staying connected to the realities people navigate every day.
I don’t want to overlook the board members I’ve served alongside. Watching all of you pull events together and showcase the talent in this city has been genuinely impressive. The intention, creativity and skill you bring is the reason you’ve had the success you’ve had, and it shows in every event we’ve put forward. It’s been clear how much expertise and care each of you contributes.
And to our members, thank you. You’re the heartbeat of this chapter. The talent in this city runs deep, and without your involvement and support, we wouldn’t be who we are or where we are.
I joined the board with one mission, to help keep the heart centered in what we do. I’m proud of what we’ve built, and grateful the board embraced ideas like the Mastermind event, which I believe is one of our strongest educational experiences and a space for more connection.
While I’m shifting more of my time to another board, I’m excited to stay a WIPA member and even more excited for the new board stepping in. The best part of WIPA has always been the people, and that’s what keeps me here.
