Can I share how Guatemala made me a new person? Deciding to go with friends last summer for a couple weeks was honestly one of the smartest things I have ever done. If you ask me what it was about Guatemala, I will tell you it wasn't just one thing. It was everything. The people, the culture, the kindness, the beauty, the authenticity and definitely the food. I loved it so much I went back and month later again to see if it was really real.
It sounds crazy to say but I actually didn't tell many people I went. I kept it close to the vest. I didn't want to share it too much and have the word get out about this priceless gem.
But I decided Guatemala deserved its place in the sunlight instead of being stingy with it. I hope those who join will become submerged in the tranquility and grace Guatemala has to offer and be touched by it as I was.
