I was recently asked by a flower friend who grows. How do I keep my cut basil from wilting? The key is cut in a cool time of day, I find early morning the best. Into cold water, and it needs time to hydrate, preferably a day. Sometimes, I use a dash of quick dip in the water to help hydrate faster.

Subscription delivery Friends will have some basil in each bouquet this week, its smells heavenly!

(Don't mind my dead grass in the back. Watering goes to flowers, lol)

Lemon basil is the most amazing addition to your bouquets!

I learned about lemon basil and so many other things by watching Nicole at Flower Hill Farm in Boonesville, NY. She is amazing! I take away so much from her as a person, a businesswoman, and a flower grower. I always love the greeting "Hey Flower Friends" at the start of each video. Just a quick shout, thanks, Nicole, for all you share with us!

Hey friends! The weather will be hot, hot, hot, so I decided to take some time off to spend with my daughter before school starts!

We will be gearing up the shed, restocking, and updating for fall to re-open Sept 2nd! Lots and lots of fun things coming!!!!

While I'm closed, if you need flowers, please visit one of the many beautiful flowers stands in our area. There is one just up the road on Strowbridge, offers beautiful wrapped bouquets or in Estacada.

Or visit in Eaglecreek for a u-cut experience among many beautiful dahlias & sunflowers!
