Yesterday, Bekah and I had the honor of creating a proposal picnic for Erin + Heather at Bluemont Vineyard.

When Heather told me she wanted to propose to Erin at a picnic, I immediately got excited - because that’s exactly how I proposed to KP.

So this one was very close to my heart.

Getting to create the setting for such a huge, beautiful moment is always an honor, but this one carried a little piece of my own story too.

Also, I am so very endlessly thankful for Bekah - for doing so much of the heavy lifting, making sure everything came together beautifully, and reminding me to rest when I need to. I couldn’t do this without her. The universe truly knew we needed her.

We found a bride planning a small backyard wedding who needed decor help… and we couldn’t stop thinking about it.

So we said yes.

We’re providing her wedding decor completely free of charge for her June 20 wedding. The only cost is travel - about 300 miles one way (600 miles round trip). This would cover lodging, food, and charging, totaling around $450.

This made us realize something bigger.

We’re working toward starting a pay-it-forward initiative for weddings, birthdays, proposals, anniversaries, and all kinds of meaningful celebrations - especially the quiet, backyard, “we’re doing the best we can” kind of moments. Because those moments matter.

For this first one, we’d love to try something special: if anyone would like to contribute toward this bride’s travel costs, every dollar would go directly to helping remove her fee entirely.

One day, our hope is to offer these setups with no cost at all - not even travel.

This is just the beginning, but we’re excited to see where it goes 🫶🏼💕

Happily Ever After Party 🌈✨

Join Opal And Ivy and for a joyful Pride wedding celebration created especially for q***r couples.

This one-day event is all about love, color, community, and creating beautiful memories in a relaxed and affirming space. Whether you’ve been dreaming of eloping, want updated wedding portraits, wish to celebrate your love through a commitment ceremony without the legal aspect, or simply want a meaningful way to honor your relationship, we would be honored to celebrate with you.

The event will take place from 4 PM to 8 PM, with ceremonies beginning at 4 PM. Each couple will be assigned a private 30-minute wedding slot that includes:

🌸 A 15-minute ceremony with an officiant
📸 15 minutes of portraits around the property
🥂 Access to our prosecco + mocktail bar
🍓 Light refreshments + desserts
🎶 A shared reception-style celebration with all participating couples throughout the evening

Expect vibrant florals, happy colors, music, champagne toasts, and a whole lot of love.

Legal marriage is not required — couples are warmly welcome to participate through a symbolic or commitment ceremony.

This event is completely free, with limited wedding slots available throughout the day.

Come celebrate your happily ever after with us. 💕
