We've had an amazing time in North Carolina this week! ***I'll be getting back to everyone for wedding/event inquiries starting this Monday the 14th***

This was a fun combination of work and play....I attended the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers, Inc. very first two day Floral Design Intensive for hands-on learning of foam free techniques for centerpieces, large-scale installations, and hand-tied bridal bouquets. We extended our stay a few days so my husband and I could explore the area as well. *The Biltmore was amazing, and we love the mountains so much, so hiking, seeing gorgeous waterfalls and views was a breath of fresh air!

The last couple of days, I attended a Floral Design Intensive put on by (Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers) at an event venue in Asheville, NC.

This two day intensive was packed full of hands on learning taught by some of the best in the biz! We learned hand-tied Bouquet design from Niki Irving of , centerpieces from Ellen Frost of , and large scale design installations from Anna Stouffer of .

On top of lots of tips I can implement in my own design work, I met some sweet flower friends from all over the country, was able to hang out with fellow Alabamians Kathy and Prudence from .blume, and touch base with suppliers for floral mechanics-- and American grown flowers-- .

Can't wait to implement what I've learned and practiced in my design work and upcoming weddings!

I always want to continue to grow and learn so I can be the best for my clients! May I always be willing to learn, willing to try new things, and willing to think big and creatively for each design challenge that comes my way!

Happy Thursday! Just a reminder that there will be NO Flower Friday tomorrow but we have a fun BLOOM BAR collaboration with 3 Notch Home and Garden and Gather Around the Table Saturday morning from 10am-noon! I'll have flowers by the stem so you can pick out exactly what you want and the ladies at 3 Notch and Gather Around the Table have lots of unique and vintage vessels to choose from as well! Grab some some flowers, a vase, or both! I'll be helping you create a beautiful arrangement if you'd like as well!
