It was a hot one yesterday in Genoa, NE for the firefighter fundraising event, Pork in the Park! The setup was humble with whatever would fit in the bed of a ‘96 Ranger, but the cook went smoothly.

Ribs: 3rd place🥉
Pork: 3rd place🥉
Overall: 3rd place 🥉!!

Ever have that cook where the judges thought the opposite of how you did about your turn ins? That’s what we had at the MidWest BBQ Association Gateway to the West competition in Blair, Nebraska.

Here’s how we did.
Chorizo Mac n Cheese stuffed meatloaf- 6th place
Pork Ribs - 6th place
Brisket - 2nd place 🥈!!
4th place overall!

The Blair Volunteer Fire Department hosted and the Blair chamber of commerce put on a great event.

Thanks to all the organizers and fellow competitors. Special thanks to The Good Charcoal Company for the fuel to make it all possible.
