To make sure everyone has supplies and seating, prepaid guests will be guaranteed a canvas and spot. Limited walk-in spots may be available while supplies last.

🚧 BIG NEWS FOR THE OLUSTEE BASKETBALL COURT PROJECT 🚧

We are beyond excited to announce that we have officially received our FIRST Gold Sponsor for the new basketball court project! 🏀✨

A huge thank you to the Beta Mothers of Altus for stepping up and believing in this project, our kids, and our community. Their generosity helps move this dream one giant step closer to reality.

This court will be more than concrete and paint. It’ll be pickup games on summer nights, little kids learning to dribble, teenagers staying active, and a place our community can gather for years to come.

Seeing others believe in this project lights a fire under us. 🖤

🎆 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR YANKEE DOODLE DAY! 🇺🇸

Olustee Events Committee is gearing up for Yankee Dandy Day on July 3rd from 7:00–9:00 PM, and we could use some helping hands to make this a fun, memorable evening for our community!

We’re currently looking for:

🍰 Donated baked goods for our Cake Walk
🙋 Volunteers to help run activities like the waterslide, dunk booth, and cake walk
💦 Brave volunteers to take a seat in the dunk tank (teenagers, young adults, and school staff preferred for this one 😄)

If you’ve got a little time to give, a dessert to donate, or just a good sense of humor and don’t mind getting soaked, we’d love your help!

We’ve had a few folks ask, “Can’t y’all just repair the current court?”

Fair question. 🖤

The short answer? We’ve tried. A lot.

Our current basketball court is 32 years old and has been patched multiple times over the years just to keep it playable.

But patching only gets you so far when the entire court is simply showing its age.

At this point, repairs are more like putting a band-aid on something that needs real replacement.

Cracks continue to come back, and continuing to dump money into temporary fixes just doesn’t make sense when our goal is to create something safe and lasting for our community.

This isn’t about wanting something shiny and new. It’s about giving our kids, families, and community a court they can actually enjoy safely for years to come.

Small towns know how to make things last, and trust us... this court has had a good long run. 🏀🖤
