It breaks our hearts to make this announcement, but at this time all upcoming Itsumi Style drift events at Thunder Valley are officially canceled until further notice.
From the very beginning, we’ve put everything we had into building these events into something truly community-based — a place where drivers, vendors, and spectators could come together without crazy costs or barriers. We tried with everything we had to keep that vision alive.
Due to a change in management, the new track manager has decided not to honor the original agreement we had in place. We were presented with new terms requiring a $4,500 per day fee to rent what is essentially a parking lot — which we believe is simply not reasonable.
If we were to move forward under those conditions, it would force us to significantly raise prices across the board — including driver tickets, vendor fees, and spectator entry. That would take away from the community-focused vibe we’ve worked hard to build. We’re not willing to charge $250 driver tickets or overprice our vendors and supporters just to make it work.
Our goal has always been to keep drifting accessible and affordable for everyone involved.
We are currently searching for a new venue that aligns with our vision and supports the grassroots drift community. As soon as we secure a new location, we will continue hosting events as usual.
