Tonight at Wyldflowr Arts (37th and west streets in West Oakland), RootStock Arts presents our Thursday night concert series and this week features, Steve McQuarry performing solo on Buchla modular synthesizer and computer and one duet with a special guest chef. I am doing double duty, this evening, performing one piece at the end of the concert as well as my usual role of selling sweets and drinks and tonight i will have a Peach Semolina cake and peach pecan ice cream with Masumoto Family Farm Sun Crest peaches as well as butterfly pea flower tea. Doors at 7, concert at 7:30.

Tonight at Wyldflowr Arts, RootStock Arts presents The Arun Ramamurthy trio featuring Damon Banks on bass, Sameer Gupta on drums and Arun on violin. Carnatic-jazz fusion at is finest!
I will have a peach-oat crisp, spiced peach pecan ice cream and butterfly pea flower tea for sale. Doort at 7, concert at 7:30.

Tonight's menu:

1 Sun Crest peach

2 peach, tempeh, eggplant, okra skewers with peach miso sauce (homemade tempeh and miso)

3 silken tofu and peach salad with peanuts, shiso, sesame, hijiki, cucumber, umeboshi, peach dressing

4 handmade ramen in cold peach broth with roasted peach, pickled daikon, wakame

Concert: Hitomi Oba - tenor saxophone, Erika Oba - flute

Dessert: Peaches in cold ginger soup, peanuts, sesame, peach kanten, peach ice cream

Tonight, tomorrow and next Saturday's peach dinners are all sold out. The following Saturday is the final peach menu of the season with matching cocktails still have seats available.

Only 4 more peach menus left for this season with the amazing heirloom peaches from Masumoto Family Farm and very few seats left for them.
This coming weekend, the amazing duet of sisters Hitomi Oba on tenor saxophone and Erika Oba on flute. They recently collaborated with texts by peach farmer Mas Masumoto with a piece with he Fresno symphony and this weekend in my loft, they will discuss this collaboration and do a duet reduction of this composition.
2 seats left for their concert and 4 course Japanese dinner with peaches on Saturday.
Sundays Thai peach dinner with peaches is now waiting list only.
The following Saturday, July 19, another peach menu with the duet of Arun Ramamurthy on violin and Damon Banks on electric bass, both visiting from NYC. Only 2 seats left!
And we culminate this years series of peach menus with a peach dinner with matching peach cocktails, with my old friend Joshua Hyman coming out of mixology retirement to prepare drinks. 5 seats still left for this one.
