Between social distancing and frigid temps, many of us have had some extra time on our hands lately. Instead of letting the boredom continue to drive me wild, I decided to use some of my extra time to challenge myself to break out the camera here at home a lot more and be a lot more diligent about posting some of what I capture. Today I am sorta cheating and posting a couple that I actually took back in December of my kids baking some cookies :-)

I love photographing all people in natural settings but my most favorite subject to shoot by a landslide has always been: Newborns 😍.

This particular year has been...challenging in many ways and probably won't make the top 10 list in anyone's book, BUT, I think when most of us look back there was still a lot of good that tends to get overshadowed. For me, I became the proud and lucky aunt to TWO amazing 2020 babies, my sister's son Maddox who was born in March, and this little peanut, my cousin's daughter Emria who was born on Halloween 🥰.

This year has been tough, but if it wasn't tough from time to time, how would we ever learn the meaning of things like gratitude? How would we ever learn the value of things if everything came easy? This year may have been a punch in the face, and maaaaybe the universe swung a little too hard at some of us, but if we try our best to focus on the good and keep pushing through one day at a time, we will make it through and come out stronger on the other side.

Winter is finally over so to celebrate I am hosting another seasonal mini session next month as school ends and we "spring into summer"! The 6:30 spot has been filled but I have 2 more spots still open.
