It’s a lifestyle and something I am passionate about. I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to turn a hobby into a full-tim

e career and the business has come full circle for me. As a young teen and an aspiring DJ, I built and operated one of Philadelphia’s largest DJ companies which is still going strong today, now under the direction of two of my brothers. I now reside at the South Jersey Shore and instead of managing a large company, I returned to my roots, personally working closely with each client, doing what I love…planning and performing at special events and creating lasting memories for my clients! When I book a DJ engagement, I am committing myself to personally help plan your itinerary and soundtrack and act as YOUR DJ and master of ceremonies. You’re booking me, unless other arrangements are made in writing, and I will be the one planning and working side by side with you on your special day!. In my spare time, I love spending time with my young twin sons, Kenny & Evan. I’m also active in many local charities, animal rescue, serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, and President of the Brigantine Chamber of Commerce. Weeknights, you’ll hear me on the radio on Wibbage FM 94.3 as the full time on-air host of Totally 80s. Music is my life and my base of knowledge is diverse, ranging from the Great American Songbook and standards of the past to today’s latest hits. We’re on site a few hours early to set up tonight’s wedding celebration at the beautiful Brigalia’s in Sicklerville, NJ. Anticipating shore traffic, we left plenty of extra time and fortunately the expressway was smooth sailing! Tonight’s assignment includes DJ Entertainment and Photobooth with three separate sound systems for ceremony in the Barn, and cocktails and reception in the beautiful Grand Ballroom and adjoining cocktail area.

We’ve planned for months and tonight we celebrate with Shayna & Kyle. DJs Ken Schaffer and John McKernan are prepared and ready to roll out another amazing celebration!

Sometimes the “simplest” of jobs are not as simple as they appear.  Event number two of the day and thankfully, I was very early to scope out the load in. Tonight’s event is for a corporate client who has become a good friend. Two years ago I was asked to keep tonight open for this party and here we are, ready to celebrate a 70th birthday on the Miss Avalon! It’s rare for me to do a private party in the heart of Wedding season and I actually turned two weddings down tonight, but that’s what we do at times, accommodating our regular clients. Tomorrow night we’re back on the wedding trail with an awesome wedding at Brigalia’s…. Setup and ready to roll. Guests arrive at 6:30 for a few hours of fun and dancing on Avalon’s back bays!

Event one of two today.  Playing the music and checking in live on WIBG Radio, Wibbage FM 94.3.

 This is quite possibly the largest car show in the state of New Jersey. It’s the 50th annual Gentilini Motors classic car and truck show.  There are over 700 classic cars and trucks today, a free barbecue, dunk tank, mechanical bull, a NASCAR display and something for everyone. Stop by. We’ll be checking in live on the radio between now and 2 PM.

Celebrating today with Kimberly and William.

Typically I wouldn’t be working in Pasadena, MD, but when Ron Staller calls and says he needs our services in MD, we’re there! Ron and I are dear friends who go way back and when I first met Kimberly, she was a young teen growing up in Brigantine!

What a beautiful Monday evening wedding. It’s nice to travel to locations that we’ve never experienced. It’s all in the preparation. Sound is setup for ceremony, cocktails and reception and we have a very detailed plan, ready to get this celebration started!

Here’s a throwback that was big in the clubs in ‘79 and well into the early 80s. Haven’t had a request for this one in years. When the right DJ aligns with the right crowd, magic happens. I’d venture to say that most of the younger DJs coming up would not only not have this, but they wouldn’t know it even existed… Dancing to Cuba by The Gibson Brothers…
