At the Gathered Stem we take pride in offering you a customized experience from start to finish. We listen to your ideas, take a look at the things that inspire you and then craft a design that is unique to you as a couple. We will work within your budget, big or small to ensure you get the most out of your floral investment. We know there are so many ideas out there, we will help you every step of the way to choose and design the perfect florals for you.

Since launching in March of 2026 I have had so many people ask me what The Gathered Stem is all about. Here is a quick Q&A:

Q: Do you have a greenhouse where you will be growing your own flowers?
A: No, not yet! That may happen down the road, but for now we source our blooms from local flower farms and flower wholesalers. Our aim is to source as local as possible, it's better for the environement and supports the local economy!

Q: Do you have a shop that I can come and visit?
A: Yes, and no. The flower studio is located at my home. If you need to pick up your flowers you can certainly arrange to pick them up here but the studio is not open to the public for regular business hours. At least, not yet!

Q: Do you do weddings?
A: Yes! Our primary focus is wedding and event florals and design. We work with you every step of the way to plan your florals and design your space to be uniquely you. We still have availability for the 2026 wedding season, contact us today to save your date!

It's been almost three months since the official launch of "The Gathered Stem" and I feel it's time to formally introduce myself.
My name is Krista, I am the founder and floral designer at The Gathered Stem. I specialize in bespoke floral creations that blend elevated design with a naturally gathered aesthetic. I believe in creating floral designs that stir your emotions and captivate your curiosity.

I first began to learn the craft of floral arrangement through my own garden planting. I learned that by planting flowers alongside the vegetable plants the hard work of the garden became a place of beauty and calm. And what a benefit there is to then be able to pluck the blooms and arrange them to brighten the inside my home as well.

I have always been an artist, but for many years my profession was in the corporate business world. While this work was rewarding for a season, the time had come for me to pursue my love of beauty and design and put my creativity and artistry to good use. An opportunity presented to design & decorate a few weddings, this turned into a passion and “The Gathered Stem” was born.

So, whether you are a bride looking for the perfect florals for your big day, a friend who wants to send a thoughtful gift, or you just want some flowers to brighten your home, reach out and I would love to work to create the perfect arrangement for your needs!
