Dahlias in June! I never would have believe it was possible, but here we are! Excited to see some softer colors come. These orange ones were chosen with fall in mind. 😆

Make an early May arrangement with me.

The colors this week! 😍.

I would usually have posted about Mother’s Day already. The truth is, I don’t have a good count of what I will have left after subscriptions yet. I plan to get that finished and count by Friday. I will then have preorders available as soon as that is done and will post here. You can always comment or message me and I can then get back with you directly when I know if I will have enough. All of my flowers have been off this spring. Everything is really early (2-3 weeks or more!) and some of my normal perennial go-tos didn’t come back so it really has been a guessing game up to now.

Thank you so much to those that support this small farm of mine. You don’t know how much it means to me!

I still have plenty of snapdragons. If you’d like a snapdragon bunch, they’re $15 plus tax. Just message me and we can arrange pick up for tomorrow or this weekend. You can choose either orange or lavender or get a combination of the two.

I’m also selling herb bunches for $5 plus tax….and you’re getting way more than you do in those tiny plastic grocery containers! These are great for drying or using fresh. Currently we have apple mint and oregano available. Again, message me to arrange a pick up date and time.

PREORDERS!

Message me to preorder a snapdragon bunch (you can choose lavender or sunset or a mix) for pick up later this week. Ten stems for $15 plus tax.

Or you can choose a mixed bouquet that will include peonies (growers choice based on what is best each morning I go out), snapdragons and any other beauties that are quickly coming into bloom. These are $30 plus tax.

When you message and order, we will set on a pick up day and time and I will send a payment link. We are located about six miles south of Bloomfield. This is my favorite time of the season so don’t miss out on these blooms!

Here are the dahlia tubers I plan to bring with me to the show this weekend. Please keep in mind that I only have 1-2 tubers of a couple of these varieties.

Bloomquist Alan
Bracken Rose
Peaches-n-Cream
Rock Run Ashley
Caitlin’s Joy
Clearview peachy
Ice tea

I’m posting now so you have plenty of time to look them up since I missed taking pictures of some of them last year. Prices range from $10-$18 and I do charge sales tax.

I’m also bringing some perennial starts like Apple Mint, one of my favorite foliages.

As a customer, what are your thoughts on a bouquet that requires a little work?

For example, this is one of my favorite single peonies, but she drops pollen—which can mean some staining depending on the surface. Tall bearded irises are another flower that if old buds are not removed promptly, can drip and stain.

I love both and obviously don’t mind a bit of “zhuzhing” or strategic placement of an arrangement. And while I have invested in these gorgeous blooms, I find myself leery of using them in arrangements for customers.

Do you love dahlias? Then you’ll want to stop by and see me on Saturday at the Master Gardener show at the Greene County Fairgrounds. I will be bringing my surplus dahlia tubers to sell for you to plant in your own gardens!

Every time you plant a tuber it grows and produces more tubers! Then in the fall you lift and store your tubers and can divide them in the spring. This year, I will have more tubers than I have space to plant, so I am selling the extra!

Once I finish dividing this week, I will post a list and pictures of some of the varieties.

Also, if lifting and dividing isn’t for you, I may have a trick to keeping them in the ground and blooming earlier. Stop by and ask me how!
