So this year I was awarded Best Buddies Volunteer of the Year for Delaware. I truly feel volunteering your talents and time is a great way to give back to the community. I am at a position now in life I really don't need to DJ and run the Photo Booth solely for income but ultimately enjoy it so I am able to give back and volunteer for organizations I feel passion for like Delaware Best Buddies and Delaware National Federation of the Blind.
Volunteering is simple for Best Buddies, Best Buddies is the largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people worldwide with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Their programs empower people with IDD to form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure jobs, improve communication and advocacy skills, and live independently, while also offering support for their families. To make it simple Inclusion for all.
Once again I am honored to receive this award and it truly means a lot to me. Go Best Buddies Delaware! If you are ever looking for charitable organization to donate to they are a great one to stand behind and support.
