Three words that, several years ago, you may have only associated with activities like wrestling with siblings or playing in the pool. And yet in the time since then they’ve accumulated so much weight that some cannot hear these words without reliving the fear they already live in daily. Things need to change and we cannot sit idly by. Whatever you feel your power is, use it. Push your own boundaries and make yourself uncomfortable, because movement invites change. Change the choices you’ve made in the past by exercising your right to vote or the actions you’ve been afraid to take because you didn’t know exactly “what to do.” So move. And help make the changes that black people have been dying for as long as this country has been alive.
