Throwback to Holiday Season 2016(!!) when I lived in Venice! Even though it’s a simple combo, I really love this for a California Holiday neutral palette. We did this a lot for Snapchat’s parties 🌴 🎄 🌊
Does anyone else feel like they’re still recovering creatively from Covid? Some friends work lives weren’t changed by it. I still feel stunted in creative ways, let alone the toll in took on our businesses and livelihood. Like there’s so much inside of me, so many stories to tell, and yet I’m treading water, twiddling my thumbs a lot of the time. Anyone else feeling like that?

My IG namesake! My floral design how-to book The Flower Chef, published in 2016, is available in bookstores and Amazon🌸 I named it after Julia Child’s The French Chef, and was inspired by to create a basic book anyone could follow. I wanted to be the Rachael Ray of flowers back then (was in her magazine twice)! My floral design company is called Flour LA, Inc because it was originally going to be a cafe/flower shop. When I expanded to NYC, the “la” was already in the domain name. Confusing and kinda dumb I know, but I’m stuck with it! This will 13 years in biz! Crazy! I started it at 26😊 So, THE FLOWER CHEF is my book and FLOUR LA is my company haha and it doesn’t really even make sense😜

My wish for many is to be (hopefully) many bettering versions of ourselves, with ever evolving joys, hobbies, goals, love, and giving back🍃🌱🌿
Throwback to 2018 when we built a 6’ sculpture of a molecular cross section for a cancer medication. It took a lot of hours, a team of 8, and a lot of spray paint but we did it!! Miss y’all (look at our dogs!)

Highlights from St Joseph’s benefit event at Peterson Museum! The deck had a mish mash of florals and all colors so it was tricky, but super happy how it all turned out and they loved it too! Which ones are your favs? We loved the “baby boats” in gold as we called them

Most of the time I don’t know what I’m gonna create. I do know the “ingredients” I’m gonna use. I focus on texture and color, not the actual type of flower. JWS is bold, fun, strong, legit. Women athletes can be feminine, can be feminists, can be whatever the f*ck they wanna be! And we all can be too👊🏼♥️💙💜💘🧡💚💛
