Once upon a time, I escaped to Ibiza, instead of enduring the Season of Hollow Soul...

Right after losing the love of my life
and walking away from the club I’d help build over three years.

I came back to San Francisco and went straight into Decompression.

My best friend Mike Perry looked at me and said,
“You need this.”

He and about 50 others had built a community called ShadyVilz

I hit the Playa running…
and quickly realized it was my favorite place on the planet.

Over time, I watched something powerful unfold there; not just in me, but in everyone around me.

Transformation.
Radical transformation.

Four years later, in 2012, I witnessed the early spark of something else; a small art car called

Not the icon you see today.
Back then it was raw. Intimate. Undefined.

Ask Mike, he was the first to DJ on it.

Fast forward to this past Saturday…

I stepped onto that beautiful beast in Treasure Island.

Full circle doesn’t even begin to cover it.
