It's always a pleasure to have Kevin Tison on the stage, especially for a spotlight with his choral ensemble, Le Son D'Heritage from Fountain Valley, California!

Le Son D'Heritage performed a beautiful program this March at Carnegie Hall, including Levente Gyöngyösi's LAUDAUTE DOMINUM, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi's PULCHRA ES, and WOUNDED ALLELUIAS by Joseph Martin and Craig Courtney.

Their performance featured physical movement around the stage, and perfectly showcased each singer's vocal talent. Congratulations to Le Son D'Heritage and their director, Kevin Tison!

After seeing a video of these singers rehearsing his arrangement of "Lovely Day," composer Robert T. Gibson found out they'd be performing it at Carnegie Hall. So he and his wife got in the car, drove all the way to New York City, and surprised them just before the concert.

Thank you, Robert, for making the trip and sharing such a special moment with National Concerts, these incredible performers, and their wonderful guest conductor, Lynnel Joy Jenkins.

McCallum High School, from Austin, Texas, gave a spectacular Feature performance last month with us at Carnegie Hall! Comprised of an impressive 131 total musicians, with the percussion section housing 25 players alone, this band was quite the sound to hear. It is inspiring to see how many opportunities McCallum's directors are able to give their students, and this percussion feature from John Mackey's NIGHT ON FIRE takes the cake! Congratulations to McCallum High School Band and their directors Carol Nelson, Dillon Junkin, Jeff Rudy, and Ryan Pride!

National Concerts is honored to present many of our performances at one of the world's most iconic concert venues, Carnegie Hall. While its legacy feels timeless today, there was a period when the future of this historic hall was uncertain. Thanks to the dedication of those who fought to preserve it, generations of musicians continue to experience the magic of performing on its legendary stage.

We feel incredibly lucky to continue sharing this remarkable venue with the students and educators who perform with National Concerts!

One of the things we love most about New York City is having the opportunity to collaborate with local professional musicians to elevate the performance experience!

Meet Justin E. Bell, tenor, who joined us for Mozart's Requiem in 2026 and Haydn's Paukenmesse in 2025! Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Justin earned his bachelor's degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi before completing his master's at the Manhattan School of Music. Justin recently won the Tenor Prize at the 2025 George Shirley Vocal Competition and First Place in the 2020 NATS National Competition (Musical Theatre Division).

Were you there for there for either of Justin's National Concerts performances? Give him a shoutout in the comments!

This March, our National Band & Orchestra Fest ensembles delivered unforgettable performances at Carnegie Hall. From Florida, Colorado, Michigan, and beyond, ensembles traveled from across the country to work with our experienced clinicians before taking the stage for a non-competitive, adjudicated performance at one of the world's most iconic concert halls. ✨ Congratulations to our 2026 NBO performers!
