"I'll keep rollin' right along, leaning on a travelin' song," Billy Strings sang on the opening track of his 2024 double album, Highway Prayers. Produced by L.A. rock veteran Jon Brion, the twenty-track collection captures the Michigan-born musician’s restless drive—a force that fueled nearly 100 shows last year and continues to push him as a singer, songwriter, and blisteringly fast guitarist. “I’m just chasing the muse and trying not to get in its way,” Strings, born William Apostol, explained.
