Planning Cecily’s annual birthday party with Jessica Romano 🦂 is no easy task and as an event planner, that’s saying a lot! I’ll admit, I can come up with some pretty crazy ideas, but sometimes even I have to bring Jess back down to earth. Like, “No, Jess, we cannot have a giant wave of water gush through your backyard like a tsunami 🌊

But honestly, I look forward to our craziness every year. The wild ideas, the laughs, and figuring out how to turn her over-the-top visions into something magical are all part of the fun. I wouldn’t have it any other way and I already can’t wait to see what we dream up next even though for the last eight years she has told me “this is the last party” … yeah ok.

This is 39. One step closer to 40 and if I’m being honest, that comes with a lot of mixed emotions. There’s a huge part of me that fears of getting older and wonders how time has passed so quickly. But there’s also a much bigger part of me that feels incredibly grateful for every year, every lesson and every blessing that has brought me here.

When I look back at everything I’ve accomplished through The Royal Sweet Fairy & Events , I’m truly amazed. What started as a dream has grown into something beyond what I ever imagined. From intimate celebrations to major events, television, film, Broadway, celebrities and opportunities I once could have only dreamed about.

I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. None of it would be possible without my incredible clients who continue to trust me with their most important moments. Every booking, referral, share and word of encouragement has helped me build this business, and I will never take that support for granted.

Above all, my greatest accomplishment will always be my daughter. She is my purpose, my motivation and the reason I continue pushing forward even on the hardest days. I’m so lucky to call her mine and I’m endlessly grateful for the love, laughter and meaning she brings to my life.

So while getting closer to 40 feels scary, I’m trying to embrace 39 with gratitude. I’m grateful for another year of life, another year to love, grow, create memories and keep chasing my dreams. Here’s to everything I’ve accomplished, everything I’ve overcome and all the beautiful things still waiting for me.
