Coming up next week, Pitchfork & AdHoc will host two events in NYC to ring in the end of an eventful 2024.

First up is Pitchfork Year in Music, a mixtape of conversations, interviews, games, and the sounds of the year. Presented by your friends here at Thought Enthusiast, hosted by Pitchfork Deputy Director Jeremy D. Larson, and moderated by Head of Editorial Content Mano Sundaresan, the event takes place on Wednesday, December 18, and will feature conversations with critics Alphonse Pierre and Arielle Gordon, as well as journalist and musician Jael Holzman of .

The party continues on Thursday, December 19, with a Club Night featuring sets from , b2b , Anysia Kym (.nys), DJ Ess (), Alphonse Pierre, and Mano.

𝓳𝓾𝓼𝓽 𝓪𝓷𝓷𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓬𝓮𝓭: Legendary Japanese composer, saxophonist, and music producer Yasuaki Shimizu 清水靖晃 is coming to NYC for two special performances at National Sawdust on 3/20 + 3/21.

✨ Known for his innovative blend of jazz, ambient, and experimental music, Shimizu’s performances are nothing short of extraordinary. His boundary-breaking approach to music goes beyond composition and performance. Viewing physical space as an extension of his instrument, he often “plays the space,” making use of unique acoustic environments in which to record and play.

We couldn’t be more proud of the hard work we did with this Election season. 🎉🗳️

Over the last few months, AdHoc led strategy, artist booking, marketing and event production on more than a dozen early voting & election day pop-up concerts in swing states all over the country –– culminating in an Election Night concert with and in West Philly, where reporter did a national televised interview live from our event.

After the end of a long day, week, month and season of organizing to get voters to the polls through the collective power of music, we stand tall and are filled with so much pride and gratitude.

By teaming up with Joy to the Polls, we know we made a real difference where we showed up and ultimately left an impact on the world. We’re taking a minute to celebrate this work, the small wins, and every heart we reached along the way. ❤️
