Welcome to MumsKitchens nyc, thank you for dropping in. As the youngest Mums in the kitchen, I have always enjoyed watching my mum cooking and baking, she makes the best meals and she enjoys it! The family sitting around the kitchen table talking and peeling vegetables; we had to sit so as to keep out of her way; it was after all her kitchen. She always had all four burners going as well as the oven.
Watching the love she has for feeding her family and the care she shows as she puts a meal together is very inspiring. Every item in the meal was timed perfectly and all finished at the right time. With intention and dedication after what could have been a life ending accident Mums is focus on moving ahead, growing the business and expanding who she is through constantly learning!
Mums is a combination of generations of women who came before forging a pathe in an unforgiving world. The kitchen is filled with love laughter arguing loudly great food and good times together.
The ‘Kitchen’ right now is small! The goal is to open a brick & mortar place in Southeast Queens with a big ole table where you can come and join us for great tasting food, conversations, and laughter! Mums is taking chances and finally realizing a No is not the end, it’s just the start of the negotiations!
This year Mums is showing two separate side of her - Her Savory side consists of her World Famous Authentic signature dish which is a third generation recipe for CodFish Balls. Mums added a twist to the codfish balls, providing customers with a house-blended mango pineapple base dipping sauce with a side of “Slap Yo Mama” creamy, crunchy coleslaw.
Mums Sweet side consists of two fresh baked signature dishes; the mini coconut raisin breads and the decadent brownie bites With a specialty that includes a “booezy box line,” which are brownies that have the perfect balance of chocolate, fruit and liqueurs.

Mums is always learning, moving, thinking up new flavor combinations - you can be on the right track, however, if you stay still you can still be run over!
With many hours spent in the kitchen at all hours of the night, Mums favorite person to listen to is Andrew Zimmerman @chefaz. She is in the kitchen doing her thing, he is on the telly! It’s perfect listening to him weave a story about food & history! Once she hears the phrase ‘sweet baby Jesus’ she gets in front of the telly because whatever he says or shows next, you want all eyes on it! Not just ears! ✨
