When I first played with this image, the doggy ringbearer disappeared, I am happy to say it has been found.
Adding a beloved dog, or two, it’s always always welcomed as it is a family member, and adds a beautiful portrait of your life.
Since I work with “Reiki for dogs” they have naturally sensed the calming energy, plus a few treats in the pocket always helps for focus.
(I always check with the owner if treats are OK, even if I always use natural ones)
I always welcome children as well, as long as everyone ia ready to be ready for anything. Many times the little one has simply fallen asleep, sometimes it hasn’t slept enough, and we’ve also had some meltdowns
It is their prerogative They are little humans and they will feel the extra adrenaline of the day as much, or even more, than the adults.
Alas when they’re happy, they add so much to the ceremony.
I try to involve them, bringing the rings yes, but also maybe playing a singing bowl, or aid with a hand fasting.
I also love making a family blessing.
One thing I always make certain that I get to meet the child or children before so they know I’m a kind person, and I usually have a few tricks up my sleeve to bring out a smile.
I am proud to say that there have been quite a few parents been surprised as to how fast the little ones, have made a connection with me.
