April 15, 2025
The wind was blowing yet it was warm on the wedding day celebrating 20 years together for Mariah & Robert, assisted by their cool young son Melvin (NHL next ! 🏒)
It is always extra dear to my heart to be chosen by Swedish couples to be their officiant, and this time even more so as we come from neighbouring towns.
It was one of the more joyful ceremonies as well, the wind had us chuckling, trying to keep the bride’s hair somewhat in place, and the pretzel eating for photos was so wonderfully humorous. 🥨💍
Spring brought beautiful blossoms and the pics from below the magnolia tree will be exquisite. Stand by 🌸
It was too long ago but as always a true joy to have as teammate Marisa.

From Liverpool with love, and so much in love. Sarah & Kieran are a whirlwind of joy and brightness ❣️
What a gorgeous time with them and their families and friends in a Central Park elopement, on a rather chilly April day. Across the lake the blossoms in Cherry Hill were bright pink so spring is eternal and so is love.

It was a chilly April day, but M&B have their love to keep them warm.
A sweet elopement with gorgeous tears flowing,typically on the one day I forgot to bring my hankies. But great teammate had tissues, so the day was saved.
Traveling from Ireland, first time in NY I hope the weather will warm up for the rest of your stay. 🇮🇪

Who knew that getting married before the NYPL opens was so popular!
I love how the photographers happened to synchronize so the two couples walked down the stairs simultaneously.

If anyone would ask what they often the ask performers, which wedding is your favorite? I would answer the one I am just doing ! Sometimes months of work, sometimes very quickly, yet the feeling is the same. An overwhelming sense of love and honor, and at the wedding when everything is in place, a feeling that is hard to describe. “Smiling with my whole body” could describe it. Being in the midst of Love is indescribably exquisite. Working with pro vers like who I want to give a shout out to, makes my life even easier.
And then receiving words like these, from Keren & Jason I have to admit I feel very grateful. Mazel Tov!

“We knew right away we wanted Eva to marry us. On our first FaceTime call, her warm and comforting energy instantly put us at ease and speaking to her felt more like speaking to a familiar friend. We had lots of “homework” in preparation for our wedding from all of our vendors, but one piece we loved working on was her questionnaire about our love story. It was a gleeful reminder that Eva meticulously laced into our ceremony script from inside jokes, to anecdotes we’d written about the other, to modern religious references. She captured us so aptly and left our guests teary eyed. Many wanted to know where we’d found her! The level of care and detail she puts into her work is something special. “

What happens when an officiant get married?
It happened 3 months ago on the magical portal of 11/11
It was a marvelous day ; the weather was perfect, our small group of friends and family gathered. My dress came in the nick of time, my dear sister Helena of the heart gifted me the beautiful bouquet, and also assisted as celebrant. The man who got me into the wedding business, Michael added his special eye seen here. Writing most of my script o got to add many of the rituals and words I love, the singing bowl, the Koshi bells, with the help of the great young Niklas & Henrik, and a ring warming. And we couldn’t have made it there calm cool and collected without the help of Daniela & Joy. All was great yet the question remained, who would officiate for the officiant? I believe in signs and suddenly the person appeared, my colleague Larissa who took my script and added her spice to it, together with the warmth of personality that was just perfect.
The end of a perfect day, as the song goes was the dinner at Bono - the family owned trattoria where “food is a language of love”

“Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds”
These famous words for postmen like my Dad, has been my reality as wedding officiant this Christmas. One wedding was in snow, and this beautiful couple braved a cold rain. Daniel & his lovely Hui Qui said their vows in cold rain. They have their “love to keep them warm,” to paraphrase the song, and it is amazing how often I see how the love and adrenaline does just that. And rain is a blessing of its own.
We had some cover and I am certain that Kathy got some magical images in the mist.
Wishing this loving union of Spain and Malaysia, many happy years together here in the US and wherever life takes them

On the last day of the year, and I get a review like this, from the Mother of the Bride, I must take a moment to say thanks.

Leading the ceremony, you got the couple to do the talking. Your questionnaire teased out an amazing amount about what each one loves about the other.
There was a technical hitch with the music,[for the procession] you kept [the groom] steady, the atmosphere relaxed, and you went to tell the waiting bride what was going on.
On a personal note, I thought your outfit was demure, conveyed authority and had a playful, subtle sparkle on your matching boots!”

Salmagundi Club. A first as a for me, and hopefully not the only time.
Beautiful, great team it was perfect for a small ceremony as we had on Dec, and being in the history of this house made it even more special
Leaving in the darkness of night and seeing the red Christmas lights, alternating white for the Hannukkkah lights, of the Empire State Building was one of those wonderful “New York moments” 💖⭐️

Salmagundi is a not-for-profit organization created in 1871, by artists and patrons, to support one another and to encourage the advancement of art of all kinds.

The Club has continuously championed representational art from its founding with iconic members, including: Thomas Moran (1837-1926), William Merritt Chase (1849-1916), Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933), Emil Carlsen (1848-1932), N.C. Wyeth (1882-1945), Childe Hassam (1859-1935) and Winston Churchill (1874-1965).
