WOW!!! In LESS THAN 1 DAY we raised more than $4000 to push us past our Kickstarter fundraising goal of $10,000. That ensures that we can cover the costs of the move, the build-out, and core space-related expenses for a year. But why stop there? Anything we raise above that amount will go directly to new projects.

We have a new goal: we're aiming to raise another $5,000 to cover upcoming projects related to Occupy Wall Street. And we have 2 days left to do it! Can you post this link? http://kickstarter.com/projects/naa/nospace.

An additional $5000 will allow us to implement some of the creative activist projects we've been incubating, to leverage this historic moment and help build a mass movement. Please donate and spread the word!

This Fall, Not An Alternative will open a new venue for art, activism, technology, and theory called No-Space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Hi friends, we're halfway to our Kickstarter fundraising goal at Not An Alternative. Funds go to support the new No↔Space, and to our upcoming year of programming + projects relating to art, activism, technology and theory, including space and materials for arts production.

Been super busy with all of that, here's an update on what we've been up to. Any help pushing the project this week is greatly appreciated!

Hey, we're halfway there!Hi backers! Can't thank you enough, we're really excited to report that we're more than halfway to our fundraising goal of $10,000, with 26 days to go! (Big ups to Jeff Hnilicka, co-founder of F.E.A.S.T, for the donation that tipped us past the $5000 mark). Potential back...

Please share! For the last 7 years No↔Space, managed by Not An Alternative, has functioned as a base for art/activist production in NYC. A couple months ago, a staggering rent increase forced us out of our Williamsburg home. Happily however we've found a new space in Greenpoint and are quickly readying it for the next phase.

The first projects we'll be launching out of the new No↔Space will be aimed at fortifying, clarifying and expanding the movement in NY and across the country. As we start to roll these projects out you can be sure that we'll be reaching out to you (our amazing community) and your wildly diverse range of skills to join in the ex*****on of some very large scale projects (that we can't tell you about just yet).

For now though, while the groundwork is being laid for these projects and we're putting the finishing touches on the new space you can begin to help by watching this video and by supporting our KICKSTARTER PROJECT!

This Fall, Not An Alternative will open a new venue for art, activism, technology, and theory called No-Space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
