Been such a long time since I've played with my colored pencils! My friend has been creating some fantastic botanicals in colored pencils lately and she inspired me to find joy in this wonderful medium again ! Thanks Clara 😊😘
I used the creamiest and dreamiest colored pencils on Textures pad and with .artist expert guidance I was able to paint these lovely peppers and what a joy it was to create them! Thanks, Cynthia!
BTW, this paper is amazing! It took soooooo many layers and heavy burnishing and it still accepted more pigment! Really happy with it!

Daylily study in watercolor. Playing with dry brushing techniques to create depth and detail. This means teeny tiny brushes loaded with just a whisper of paint ... Lots of fun if you like to spend hours and hours working minuscule sections at a time ... My kinda jam 😁
As always I used my favorite Artists watercolors, Faux Sable brushes and Hot pressed 140lbs watercolor paper

Been a while since I posted a calligraphy video. This one is almost real time. Just had to speed up a teeny tad to trim it down to under a minute.
This was actually the project my students created last night for my Drawing and Painting Realistic botanicals from photographs. And let me say something - they all did an AMAZING job painting this magnolia 💖

The adventures into abstracting macro florals in gouache continues! SO. MUCH. FUN!!!!
I used as always my favorite Artist's Gouache - Hello, Opera Pink!!!! and my favorite Faux Sable brushes - these brushes are soooooo amazing and make painting with a gouache such pleasure ! And my new favorite surface is Ampersan Aquabord which I gessoed with Watercolor ground for extra texture - yum!
