posted in Where Staten Island Eats………..
I’ve been planning, throwing & working parties for years. I am a 53 year old native Staten Islander and only learned about the Historic Colony Hall on Brielle Avenue a few months ago.
I was considering booking my child’s college graduation party there. Chef Louis of Chef Louis Catering operates the Colony Hall. He advised me a new air conditioning system was being installed but he didn’t have control over the installation so he couldn’t guarantee the installation would be done in time for the tentative July party date.
I appreciated his honesty and decided I would book a different hall. I chose to use him as my caterer just the same because of his honesty. I chose him blindly. Not only had I never heard of him or his hall, I never had his food.
Louis was reachable, polite, funny and a consummate professional always. We went over the menu several times. He was extremely accommodating to my guests gluten food allergy.
Based on conversations I had had with him, I could tell he truly knew his business of cooking. I had my party last week. He not only knows his business, he’s an incredible chef.
There were so many food choices and EVERYTHING was scrumptious! My plate literally runneth over of all that was good. He gave an abundance of food. He was reasonably priced, not cheap but you get what you pay for.
I’m extremely pleased that I had honestly hoped for the best with Louis and he by far exceeded any expectation I had in deliciousness & delivery of food as well as professionalism. If you’re looking for a caterer and want something different, contact Chef Louis, trust me you’ll thank me.
