The Black Public Defender Association Black Public Defender Association (BPDA) reached out to us for breakfast and lunch catering for their legal summer conference at Brooklyn Law School. The event has already taken place, and we appreciated the opportunity to support their work.

BPDA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening Black public defenders and the communities they serve. Their mission centers on equity, access to justice, and creating spaces where defenders and community members can learn, grow, and stand together.

Our role was straightforward: to provide organized, dependable food and beverage service that allowed their team to stay focused on the important work they do. We serve with Purpose‑driven service, offering reliable support to organizations working to strengthen our communities.

Some of the most meaningful things in business aren’t the contracts or the sales, they’re the people you meet along the way.

Through the Plan to Growth program, I had the opportunity to meet the amazing team behind Norwegian Baked. What started as a conversation about entrepreneurship quickly became a friendship built on hard work, sacrifice, and a shared belief that we all grow stronger when we support one another.

To me, business isn’t just about doing business. It’s about building relationships, creating opportunities, and helping each other succeed. That’s how stronger communities are built.

Recently, we featured crispbread on our passed hors d’oeuvres and charcuterie displays, and our guests absolutely loved it. Seeing another local business become part of our events made me genuinely happy.
