The Shakespeare Forum Page

The Shakespeare Forum Page We use Shakespeare to create empowered communities through education and performance. New York is hard enough. We want to make it easier for everyone.

At The Shakespeare Forum we make a home for actors, directors and lovers of Shakespeare to play, share, develop, and flourish. We believe in reaching out and building community through education, outreach and performance with an emphasis on providing low-cost, high-quality classes, workshops and productions. We foster a community of artists dedicated to helping each other thrive while breaking the

habits of isolationism which so often prevail in our artistic community. We know that together we can be a powerful force, and The Shakespeare Forum is dedicated to providing services to all members of our New York community. We feel that financial constraints should not prohibit members from gaining the tools and confidence to make their way in New York, both as conscious artists and as parts of a greater artistic alliance.

The Shakespeare Forum: Copenhagen

Are you in Copenhagen this summer and would like to give Shakespeare a go?!

This summer, for the first time, the New York-based Shakespeare company, The Shakespeare Forum will be hosting a one-day workshop in central Copenhagen on July 19th for both actors and non-actors - no experience necessary!

The concept is simple - we do it the way Shakespeare's company did it: short on time, long on fun. The workshop, taught by NYC professionals, will be a mixture of games, verse and text work and culminate in a one-hour reading of a Shakespeare play, taught by NYC professionals.

The Shakespeare Forum has been teaching adults and children in New York for over a decade and is excited to offer this opportunity in Copenhagen.

Spaces are limited and participation is free, so email now to sign up and learn more about this upcoming event.

Date: July 19th, 2025
Time: 11am-5pm
