Details โจ๏ธ
Because would I be a wedding planner if I didn't obsess over the details??? Especially since one of the joys of an intimate wedding is being able to highlight those personal details of your love story. One of my favorites was our welcome sign that included a group of fun facts about us! I really wanted to add something fun as a nice introduction for our guests that didn't know our 10+ years history. The welcome sign matched our custom frosted acrylic cake topper, plus our frosted acrylic table numbers and vellum dinner menus reminiscent of the vellum jackets on our invites. The wind was winding fr, so it was RIP to our fallen table numbers and lighting candles, but the design still showed up and showed out!
I had a bouquet charm which I always thought was such a fabulous idea, and bought my husband gold cufflinks with a custom sketch of his dog that had passed away a few years before (although it got to us the day after the wedding ๐ count your days UPS).
We didn't include any cultural additions to our ceremony so we really just had fun with it! Our officiant was my husband's best friend who we also know from high school which was a very full circle moment. We did a rose ceremony, where we gifted our each other's mothers with a rose to honor them for welcoming us into their families. We also did a unity shot, and I custom ordered two shot glasses with the same monogram as the belly bands on our invitiations as another hidden detail. And my very favorite detail for last - my husband's weakness is Oreo cookies, so an amazing way to add a little detail for him was to have custom oreos printed with a photo from our engagement shoot as favors!
To my future couples, when you hear me say that I LOVE designing the personal details into your intimate wedding, know that I take it to heart.. ๐ฉท
