Want to hear my Do’s and Don’ts for Giving a Wedding Speech?

DO’s:

✅ Be Genuine and Heartfelt: Share those real, honest stories. Speak from the heart – everyone will feel the love!

✅ Practice, Practice, Practice: Run through your speech a few times. You’ll feel more confident and it’ll flow smoothly.

✅ Keep It Short and Sweet: Aim for a quick 2-3 minutes. Keep it engaging and leave them wanting more.

✅ Focus on the Couple: Talk about their journey together and why they’re perfect for each other. Celebrate their love!

✅ End with a Toast: Finish strong with a heartfelt toast to the newlyweds. Cheers to forever!

DON’Ts:

🚫 Don’t Go Off-Topic: Stick to stories about the couple. It’s their big day, after all.

🚫 Avoid Controversial Topics: No politics, no exes, no drama. Keep it positive and inclusive.

🚫 Don’t Overdo It on Drinks: A little liquid courage is fine, but stay clear-headed and articulate.

🚫 Don’t Use Inside Jokes: Make sure everyone can enjoy your stories and laughs.

🚫 Don’t Read Word-for-Word: Use notes, bullets, whatever — but for the love of God, don’t just read. Look up, make eye contact, and speak naturally.

Your speech is a gift to the couple. Keep it real, respectful, and full of joy, and you’ll make their day even more special!

It’s hard to pick one favorite part of a wedding day, but I think it has to be the personal vow exchange. Alexus took us on a journey of emotions. We laughed, we cried, but most of all Liz understood just how deep his love runs for her! And as you swipe you’ll see that Liz took us on an identical journey.

Your personal vows tell a story of your love and life together. It paints a picture of your hopes and dreams for the future and at least is a very real reminder of what all of the months of meticulous planning leading up to this moment was for.

It’s my ultimate favorite part of the wedding day!
