This post is long overdue, as many of you have been asking about having a ceremony at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
So here we are—featuring Stella and Luke’s elopement!
The couple came from Birmingham 🇬🇧 and happened to be friends of our first post-COVID international couple (also from Birmingham), who eloped with us back in 2021.
Stella and Luke chose the 🪄 All-Inclusive Ceremony Package, along with Zoom livestreaming, one extra hour of photography, and two hours in a vintage cab🚕.
‼️To have a ceremony with decor and tripod filming at Brooklyn Bridge Park, a wedding event permit is required from the park’s administration. The permit costs $426, must be applied for no later than 30 days before the date, and is not issued for holidays.
There are only a few designated spots in the park where ceremonies and permits are allowed—our favorite is Empire Fulton Ferry’s boardwalk, which offers the most iconic view and is slightly removed from the noise of the Manhattan Bridge.
That said, it’s important to note that holding a permit does not grant any privacy, and there will always be ambient noise from the water, ferries, and ships passing by‼️
Now, back to our elopement!
Stella had a vision of a photo featuring her and her bridesmaids crossing the street with a scenic view.
And although she had never been to New York, she somehow chose a crosswalk in the area with the perfect angle of the Brooklyn Bridge! I was impressed💔
After wrapping up the Brooklyn Bridge Park portion, we headed to Manhattan for some final iconic city shots.🤩
Because of late-afternoon traffic, we didn’t have much time—so I truly appreciated the couple’s trust in letting the photographer choose the best spots within a tight window. And Grand Central played its part beautifully😎
