I am a blessed Mama with 4 children and 7 grandchildren. My grand babies all call me Gia. I love to cook healthy and delicious food for my family and friends. Cooking is my way to show my love.
When I was 6, I fell from a hay mow and landed on the cement barn floor. I sustained an open compound fracture to my right wrist. The wound developed gangrene and my arm was amput below the elbow. After my accident, my Mom always told me “Where there is a will, there is a way”. I have taken that advice to heart from the beginning. I love challenging myself to try new activities. There is really nothing I cannot do except put my hair in a ponytail.
Cooking became my absolute passion after having grandchildren. I love to see them try new things and experience new cuisines. I may have a slight cookbook addiction.
The rule of the house is that you have to try every food once. The variety of food they enjoy, warms my heart. Living in the Midwest makes getting fresh seafood a challenge but my oldest granddaughter’s favorite food is scallops and crab legs.
Life is short! I want my family to feel my love with every meal I create. ❤️
