How did you feel the first time you made eye contact with the one?

There are lots of little moments that happen throughout a relationship that add up to the big emotions throughout the wedding day. Those events are vitally important to who and what you are. And that’s why we go the places that are important to you and your story. This is how we *truly* create a piece of art that’s unique to you. These are the tools we’ll use so that when you watch your film, you’ll be able to relive those moments and feelings over and over again.

On the same day that Ozzy passed, a friend that was at one point as close as sister reached out. We haven’t spoken in years. My emotions were already stirred by watching people’s reactions to Ozzy’s last live performance. Multi-generations of men and women were in tears as they sang along to his music.

And at that point, I was faced with whether I was going to attempt this difficult reconciliation. I did. We talked for two hours straight on the phone. There was a lot of immense sadness and a lot of laughter too.

Relationships are messy, y’all. Marriage is messy. Family is messy. It’s all difficult. There is a big push in our culture to protect our peace. I do agree with that, but I am pleading with you to not let that pursuit prevent you from building something beautiful over the ashes of what once was. This is not an option for every circumstance, of course. Yet...

“If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all....” Romans 12:18

I promise if you read the whole passage, it all still makes sense in context.

We just held the first ever Wed Society Indianapolis Vendor Meet Up. There were a lot of talented and creative people gathered on this day. The anticipation for what this community can do for our local industry was pretty palpable. It was exciting to me to be in the same room as some of Indy’s finest... and for some of these people to actually know who I am. That’s WILD to me.

Not only am I one of Indy’s founding members, but I had the honor of covering this event via video. I can’t wait for you all to see highlights of the event!! For now, a few of the pictures that were taken.

Hey! I’m Brian, the Creative Director and Owner of Fret & Frame Films! If you’re reading this, I consider it an honor that you’re considering having me present on one of the most important days of your entire life. I take the weight of that very seriously! I want you to know who I am and what I’m about, so here’s a behind the scenes look.

And hey, I’m going to bring you down for a bit, but I promise I’ll bring you back up by the end. This business is built on the ashes of tragedy. In 2005, I lost everything I had ever known or loved up until that point to Hurricane Katrina. In 2018, one of my best friends was unexpectedly taken from us. Those are major inspirations behind what I do.

I’m thinking about you, your family, your friends, your loved ones. If you were going to lose something or someone, what would you want to keep? What voices would pull at your heart if you couldn’t hear them ever again? How do you want to remember the important people, places and things? How do you yourself want to be remembered? As a person that has experienced loss of this magnitude, I’m considering all that on your behalf so that we can create a truly one of a kind film for you.

So, please. Consider these things when selecting your filmmaker, even if it’s not me. Poke around here on IG and visit my website to see my work. If it fits your vibe, reach out!
