Get a taste of of the tropics next week at Paradigm Gardens 🌴

Our first event at Paradigm Gardens was a huge success and we are excited to do it again this month! Join us on Monday, October 19th for a night of good eats, tasty drinks, and great music.

The night will feature food from Francis Delgado , 🌺 Tia Maria’s 🌺 , and Cream Daddy , DJ Erick Santero on the vinyl vibes , and garden fresh craft cocktails brought to you by Taste of the Tropics.

✨Off The Record September ‘26 Cocktail Menu✨

Join us TONIGHT at Paradigm Gardens for garden fresh cocktails by Taste of the Tropics & Friends. Each month during our residency at “Off The Record” we will feature ingredients from the garden, new faces behind the bar, and a special cocktail featuring a spirit from our own backyard and brand sponsor, Big Easy Wh***ey ✨

This month’s flavors from the garden are Basil & Mexican Tarragon. Basil is an herb that thrives in the warmer months so I knew I wanted to include it before the temperature takes a dive and the Mexican Tarragon just spoke to me aka it was growing right next to the bar area so naturally I thought it would be perfect to include in the mix as well ☺️🌿

In the spirit of community, this cocktail menu features spirits from a country that neighbors Colombia (Brazil) , one birthed here in New Orleans , and another popularly enjoyed in Latin countries across the globe.

I am happy to feature Thomas | Bartender | Consultant and Carlos Quinonez behind the bar tonight. This month’s Big Easy Cocktail is brought to you by Carlos Quinonez ( Carlos Quinonez ) who happens to be the newly appointed National Brand Ambassador of Big Easy Wh***ey. He will be sharing a sparkling refresher that is a great transition from the flavors of Summer spritzes to Fall 🍎

I’m excited to be curating the bar for Paradigm Gardens newest event series, OFF THE RECORD. This monthly series kicks off on Monday, September 28th starting at 6:30pm.

STILL GOING. STILL GROWING. 💚💛🤎

If you’re new here, welcome. If not, hello again. It’s ya girl 🌴Erika Flowers 🌺 👋🏾 A lot has changed since 2020. That’s kinda the point right? We were never meant to stay the same. We can change our mind, goals, interests, lanes, etc on any given day.

The time I’ve had to pour into Taste of the Tropics has shifted since we had allll the time in the world back in 2020. Since then I have traveled the world, expanded my knowledge of spirits, gained national recognition for my work behind and beyond the bar, hosted and participated in a slew of pop ups, partnered with and represented spirits brands, and have continued to build a full-filling life where I explore everything and anything that I can be. I’ve kept busy to say the least and that is very Caribbean of me 🙂‍↕️

Like plantain, we will get sweeter with time but truly delicious at every stage. I am excited to continue to grow Taste of the Tropics and happy to have you here in this season 💛✨

Reminiscing on our time at “The Corner Store Connect” presented by at 🥰 This event was inspired by the bodegas of NYC and showcased the influence of the African Diaspora. A special delivery of Sorrel was enjoyed by many who joined for mid week adventures powered by during Tales of the Cocktail.

Whether you enjoyed this non-alcoholic Belizean Spiced Hibiscus Tea as is or added a shot of Vatted Dark Rum, we thank you for indulging in a taste of the tropics 🌴 This was fun, nostalgic, and an evening we’ll remember forever.

The joy it brings to do what you love 💕

So thankful for the opportunity to return to the place where I’ve been able to grow and continuously re-envision . made its grand return and so did I with new and improved offerings! Thank you to all who stopped by and supported 🥰

I was able to premiere an idea I’ve been developing called “Tro-picks”. An opportunity for you all to shop items I’ve curated from my travels. I finally brought out the beautiful leather wallets from Oaxaca , Mayan necklaces from Belize , and my favorite Belizean hot sauces ❤️‍🔥 So glad you all were feeling them! Looking forward to continuing to support local makers around the tropics and sharing them in my pop up shop here in New Orleans.

IYKYK Ya girl has been here there and everywhere and maintaining this platform has been difficult at times. I am so thankful that despite me posting day to day, that you all have continue to keep ya girl booked and busy ! 🐝 🍯 It’s a blessing and so are YOU
