About a month ago, we had the pleasure of meeting Gabriela and Juan Carlos for the first time on their Engagement Session. Their warmth and charisma was evident since day one, and we were witness of those qualities as family and friends gathered to be a part of their wedding day.
Against all elements and inconveniences such as rain, jungle-like humidity and a photographer who made it just in time [intense traffic was to blame] they managed to have a wonderful time and carry on like troopers. Kudos to you guys!

Special thanks to Mauricio Ordonez for being more than an assistant and my wife for being herself :)

This past weekend, we had the pleasure of meeting this awesome couple. Trekked along a trail of cicadas, trees, bushes...etc [greenery that we are not so used to in NY] and found their spot where they first "clicked". Looking forward to your great day Gabriela and Juan Carlos!

500px is the place to go to view photographs in all their splendor!

This wonderful lady puts up with lights, setups and poses like no other. Taking this kind of portraits is more than a reward for a lucky photographer like myself. This was edited with the VSCO Presets as a way of trying them out. Very pleased with the look.

I'm trying new techniques and I came upon this particular one developed by a photographer whose work I truly admire: Ryan Brenizer Photography

This is a 45-image composite of this Christmas Artsy Place in Bryant Park.
For those who like photo geekery [not sure if the word exists] like me, this image "had" to be taken with a nice 32mm f0.43 lens :) according to Brett Maxwell's Calculator.

We couldn't have asked for nicer light, a better location...and a more energetic group. We had a blast photographing these particular teenagers and that was possible thanks to awesome people behind curtains.

Love surrounded this event in ways we didn't experience before. They made us feel as family and nothing beats that. From jokes to savoring succulent Puerto Rican/Dominican dishes, the bride's family knew how to create a warm and caring environment. We wish you the best on your future plans. I've had the privilege of photographing this singular couple before. When the news about Vanessa's pregnancy reached my ears I started to wonder if they would ask me to photograph them...well Vane took the initiative and here are the results. It has been a blessing to witness this family grow. Very happy for you guys!

Cuando el notición de que Vanessa estaba embarazada llego a mis oídos empecé a preguntarme si por ahi me contactarían para retratarlos...bueno, Vane tomó la iniciativa y he aquí los resultados.
